Protect an author's work from piracy — at scale.
For The Book Care we built an anti-piracy pipeline that hunts down pirated copies of an author's books, confirms the rightful owner, and drives DMCA takedowns from first sighting to removal — with a person signing off on every notice.
Overview
Takedowns, without the manual grind.
Authors and small publishers lose real income to pirated PDFs and bootleg listings, but chasing them by hand is relentless: search, screenshot, prove you own the work, find the right host, file the notice, and start again tomorrow. Most rights-holders simply give up.
The Book Care asked us to make that fight sustainable. We built an engagement that continuously searches for infringing copies, gathers the evidence needed to prove ownership, and prepares DMCA takedown notices routed to the right host or platform. The system does the legwork; a human reviews and approves each notice before it goes out, and every action is logged for an auditable trail.
Outcome

How it works
How it works.
- 01
Find infringing copies
Continuous search across the web, marketplaces, and file hosts surfaces pirated copies and unauthorised listings of the protected titles.
- 02
Verify ownership
Each hit is matched against the author's registered work and the evidence of ownership a valid takedown requires — so notices stand up.
- 03
Prepare the takedown
A compliant DMCA notice is drafted and routed to the correct host, platform, or search engine, with the supporting evidence attached.
- 04
Approve, send, and track
A human approves every notice before it's sent; each case is then tracked to removal and logged for a complete audit trail.
Features
What we delivered.
Continuous piracy monitoring
Always-on discovery of pirated copies and bootleg listings, so infringement is caught early instead of stumbled on months later.
Ownership-grade evidence
Every finding is backed by the proof of ownership a takedown needs, so notices are defensible rather than easily dismissed.
End-to-end DMCA workflow
From first sighting to confirmed removal — drafting, routing, and tracking notices in one place instead of across a dozen tabs.
Human-approved, fully audited
No notice leaves without a person's sign-off, and every action is logged — the automation does the grind, the human keeps control.
